The book, Keeping the Moon is great for girls struggling with self esteem issues. Colie, the main character was a previously overweight girl, and this story is about her copping through issues during her stay with her aunt, finding the definition of true friendship and much more. I would recommend this book to teenage girls who want to discover themselves and how to complement the inner beauty within themselves. I thing the book was kind of too girlie for my taste of literature, but it didn't go to the extreme, like Mean Girls. For the most part i was very satisfied, it is also a great summer read for anyone who would be interested in this book.
